A founding Executive Director of Pegasus Group, Andrew jointly heads the environmental planning division of that company and is jointly based in the Edinburgh and Cirencester offices.
On a daily basis, he has responsibility for overseeing many energy, residential and infrastructure projects. He is an experienced expert landscape witness and regularly appears at Public Inquiries to present evidence on landscape planning matters.
He has regularly presented material on landscape planning matters at a wide range of wind energy and solar conferences and regularly undertakes continued professional development framing sessions for various legal chambers and law firms as well as for the Planning Inspectorate at their annual training event held in Bristol. Andrew is thoroughly familiar with landscape and environmental impact assessment methodologies as they relate to British environmental protection legislation as it relates to the renewable energy sector.
Andrew frequently advises on a wide range of renewable energy projects from DCO, NSIP size to small scale projects in terms of planning/ environmental planning and landscape planning matters. Andrew frequently oversees the coordination of EIAs and the preparation of Environmental Statements for infrastructure projects.
As an experienced expert witness, Andrew is regularly involved in the preparation of evidence relating to landscape planning and design issues for Public Inquiries and Examinations as well as Hearings and Written Representations.
